You say I am a Renaissance man
Well, people have said that before.
They say I am a clever lad
And I can make it
If I try once more.
You say I am a literate guy
That I know what I'm doing as well
I would insist that I must contradict you
Got no answers
You can't spell.

Oooh, what a marvelous dream we've had.
But I'm not really sure at all
That dreamin' is what it's called.

You say I am a Renaissance man
And I'm not really sure what you mean.
You see various futures for me
But you can't really tell me
Where they lead.
You say I am a well-rounded guy
Well traveled, well versed and well bred.
I would tell you that I haven't a clue
The world is larger
Than my head.

Oooh, what a marvelous dream we've had.
But I'm not really sure at all
That dreamin' is what it's called.
