In the beginning
There was no reason
To be afraid.
Now that it's ending
I've only memories
Of what was said.

I'm losing you
And that's what I fear most of all.
I'm losing you
And that's when the tears start to fall.
When I try to remember it all.

We were so careless
Innocent youth spent
Playing a game.
Tapped out and useless
Trying to remember
Why it began.

You were so perfect
Never to worry
About the past.
Only in moonlight
Remember the first kiss
Might be the last.
